Orange County Courthouse Mural

Designed and developed a custom WordPress site to digitize a mural in the Orange County Courthouse, making images of the mural interactive and accessible to allow users to view more information about the mural's subjects. Winner of the UNC SILS department's 2025 Dean's Practicum Achievement Award.

Apple Fitness The Oregon Trail Before Your Eyes

Bleeding out

Helped to design and develop custom story layouts and a timeline graphic for an investigative series about emergency services for traumatic injuries in Texas.

Toll trap

Designed and developed the landing page for an investigative series about the Texas tollway system.

At the heart of research and medicine

Created a custom WordPress layout for a story about a partnership between Duke University and Duke Hospital to 3D print models of patient's hearts. Used Blender to display a moveable 3D heart model.

The puppy kindergarten

Created a custom WordPress layout for a story about the Duke Canine Cognition Center. Created a "puppy report card" graphic using HTML and CSS as well as a bar chart about puppy kindergarten volunteers.

Cops and robbers

Designed and developed presentations and an organizational chart interactive for The Baltimore Sun with the help of a Pulitzer Center grant.

Keep the beat

Designed and developed a layout with HTML, CSS, Javascipt, Pug HTML templating, NPM scripts, and SVG art for a story on Baltimore Club-style dance. Pitched and created a feature for looped video player featuring each kind of Baltimore Club dance move.

Lynchings in Maryland

Designed, developed, and launched a static page that walks users through all known lynchings that have occurred in Maryland.

How Baltimore talks

Designed and developed a static app using HTML, CSS and Javascript that serves as an audio dictionary for Baltimore-specific slang.

Dismissed

Designed and developed a layout with HTML, CSS, Javascript, Pug HTML templating, NPM scripts, and SVG art for a story on Baltimore's rent courts. For this project, I was able to draw a custom rowhouse illustration and animate it using CSS.

Maryland elections

Designed and wrote HTML, CSS and JavaScript for The Baltimore Sun's live election results page.

Maryland hate crimes

Designed and developed a page displaying two years of recorded Maryland hate crimes for The Baltimore Sun.

Spokesman-Review website redesign

Worked on a team of three developers to redesign spokesman.com. Redesigned sections like photo, video, weather, and elections with Python, Javascript, HTML & CSS.
